At Featherstone Male Voice Choir, we often say that music brings us together – but it’s the people around us who keep us singing. While our members meet twice a week to rehearse, and our music team works hard behind the scenes, there’s a quieter chorus of support that helps make it all possible: our wonderful patrons.

With over 350 patrons and counting, the FMVC Patrons Scheme is one of the strongest signs of how much our local community values music, tradition, and togetherness.

What is the FMVC Patrons Scheme?

Becoming a patron is a simple way to support the choir – and in doing so, support everything we stand for: friendship, wellbeing, community, and song.

Patrons receive:

• Two free concert tickets each year

• Our twice-yearly FMVC newsletter – full of stories, updates, and sneak peeks at what’s coming up

• And most importantly, the satisfaction of knowing they are helping a Yorkshire tradition continue to thrive

Patron contributions help us cover vital costs – everything from music and venue hire to uniforms, travel, and supporting our fantastic accompanists. Every note we sing is made stronger by the generosity behind it.

Why it matters

Running a choir is about more than songs – it’s about people. Thanks to our patrons, we can keep our doors open to anyone who wants to sing, without the pressure of auditions or financial barriers. Your support helps us stay accessible, inclusive, and active in the Five Towns and beyond.

From small chapels to grand cathedrals, from local events to international stages, your backing goes with us – and we never forget it.
